I am blown away! Everything makes sense now. I can’t believe I never thought about Silas having a doppelgänger. The Patrova Doppelgänger was created when the Originals where turned using the spell; so of course when Silas cast the immortality spell a doppelgänger line would be created then as well! The writers of this show are genius!
Stefan is connected to Silas and Silas was starving for blood. OMG thats why Stefan had such a blood problem! Thats why he was a ripper!
It all clicked.
